I really hope the staff hears me out on this. I will be raising kids that will be old enough to use a computer in a few years and naturally I would like to begin teaching them how linux works and will have them use Edubuntu. I would also like them to learn to use the forums and irc to get help when they are old enough to do that.
The problem is there is sometimes language used in the main forums or IRC that is not what I will want my 7 year old to get out of Ubuntu. Also, if there was an Edubuntu forum you could make it more appealing to kids. Just a thought.

Just want to let you know it is on it's way. Part of the reason for the forum layout changes is to accomodate a Edubuntu section in the forums. I am not sure of the complete details or when it will be added, but from my understanding, it is in the planning stages right now.

Thanks mstlyevil, I'm glad to hear that. I must say I am impressed how well Ubuntu is being able to accomadate so many people's needs.

as someone said in another post somewhere, only Ubuntu is available for shipping but I'm sure if you ask someone nicely, they might download and ship it to you :)
