My hidden wireless network was working perfectly fine until I did an update today. Now, it will try to connect but fail. This is very similar to what I see in this thread:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager-applet/+bug/446394

Because I try to use "connect to hidden wireless network" manually but it would not ask me for authentication (password) when i selected the connection I wanted.

And I follow the thread to the ppa that was suppose to solve the problem but unable to connect to it.

I tried again to update using the ppa from this post

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...et/+bug/446394

and now I can't even connect to wired connection in addition to wireless.

I know the wireless network is working because my WINDOW network work when I dual boot to it! (As of now, I am using WINDOW right now!)

9.10 64bit. Let me know how I can fix this mess.

Deleted my Ubuntu partition since no one seems to be able to help and no way of doing anything in Ubuntu without networking.

I'll wait for another couple years to see if Ubuntu really can do a better job.
