Hope not i wrong topic :)
Anyway, I am using a/m instant messangers. The question is:
Is there and IM client for Linux that can be logged-in on all four (or three) at the same time. Since I am in transition from Win to Lin (actually, Ubuntu), believe this feature would be a great one. I got sick of keeping all four IMs acitve all the time.

Theres a program called Gaim. It covers AIM/ICQ, Yahoo, MSN, Google, and a couple others.... except Skype. It is installed default into Ubuntu.
You can use AutoMatix to install Skype. Here is a link to AutoMatix. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=138405

Yes ,you can definitely be logged on to all of them simultaneously. Just go into the accounts section in Gaim, add as many accounts as you want, and you can go online in all of them (AIM, ICQ, IRC, Jabber, Yahoo, Hotmail and Napster I think are supported protocols)

To add - you can even be logged in to multiple screen names for the same service.
I have 2 yahoo IM accounts, 2 Googletalk and 2 MSN accounts...all logged in simultaneously.

Use jabber. (google talk runs on jabber anyhow). Or XMPP (for Pidgin) Your screename will be your username@gmail.com. Domain will be gmail.com. For resource I usually specify Home. Then under advanced tab make sure it's set to the SSL port. and the connect server is talk.google.com

They should be in your Home folder. View hidden files then go into .purple/logs/

I am using KMess, I tried Kopete and Gaim and Pidgin but none provides voice chat and video for MSN or yahoo :( While the Windows version of MSN and Yahoo had these features. Any other package which can enable Voice and Video??
