hi,
Why doesn't the Ubuntu 9.10 repositories have uprgrades for latest GNOME .. so that it can be upgraded from 2.8 to 3.0 ?
Is it like to get GNOME 3.0.. i'll have to necessarily upgrade to ubuntu 10.04?

Another doubt.. would the kernel on ubuntu 9.10 be ever upgraded to 2.6.32 (the same one which is available on ubuntu 10.04).

regards,
vishal

It should be possible due to some broken dependencies

Since the Kernel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux_kernel) is the real OS (his core), if you want that kernel version you should upgrade your distro.
