I have a Dell Inspiron 640m running Ubuntu9.10. When I first boot the machine up, the Internet runs perfectly, connects to sites quickly, browses quickly and so on. After a while it gets slower and slower, sits there "connecting to" and makes the machine pretty much unusable. Reboot and it's fine again. Clearly there is something wrong with this Ubuntu. I hate to say it, but I had to reboot Vista Home less times than "stable and fast" Ubuntu. Anyone got any ideas on just what the problem is with this? I've tried all of the IPV6 fixes, I've removed and reinstalled things. Nothing works.
