Okay. I have spent the last week trying to install Ubuntu NBR (Netbook Remix) onto my MacBook3,1. I tried lots of ways, and the best way for me is to use Boot Camp to create the partition. I can boot up into Ubuntu and everything, but many things are amiss.
1. My wireless will not work. I have tried going into the network thing under System -> Administration but nothing is there.
2. When I try the CD of Ubuntu that I made without installing it, everything works fine (besides the track pad). Internet works and it tells me that I have drivers working specifically because none of the preferred drivers were available or something like that.
Please help me with this. I really see the potential of Ubuntu NBR on my MacBook.
ALSO, I HAVE VISITED THIS LINK: http://www.broadcom.com/support/802.11/linux_sta.php
Many forums say I need that driver to install it on Ubuntu, but how do I do this?
Thank you for your time. I really appreciate this as I have spent sooo many hours trying to make this work.
