So i just installed my Linux 9.10. I dual boot it with my original windows xp.

As the title says i can't connect to my wireless network. It works fine when iĉm in xp, but whenever i switch to Ubuntu it turns it self off. Now I'm a COMPLETE noob at this. So if anyone can can help, i hope they can give me step by step instructions.

I know you need more information and all i can give you know is what i know and can find from my xp.

HP Compaq laptop, 6735b (Comes with Win XP Pro, dunno which service pack)
a bit over 2.5 gb ram
2.2 ghz processor
Graphics: ATI Radeon 3200 (700mb)

Now i wan't to give you my ethernet card, but i have no idea how to find out what its name is.

Beforehand i want to say thanks for all your help. (There is /might be some typos and stuff, but i'm Norwegian so, sorry bout that...)

download, install and run this in WINDOWS (only) (since you can get on line with windows)
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

It will tell you more than you ever need about that computer.

in Linux in terminal
run:
lshw
It will give you your hardware list.
