View Full Version : [ubuntu] Printing via Internet to a machine on a Separate Network

Hi Guys

I am a fairly raw and new Ubuntu user so please bear with me if I am asking any stupid questions. I have 2 machines running Ubuntu and quite comfortably at that. Machine A is hooked to its own, exclusive ADSL connection. Machine B is part of my office network (to which Machine A is not hooked at all) with internet access and it prints to a network printer.

I was wondering if it was possible for me to print directly from Machine A to the printer hooked to Machine B through the internet, and if so, how do I configure it to do so.

I remember when I was a windows user a few months back, I used to be able to do this using a small freeware program (dont remember which one) installed on both machines, with the printer shared on Machine B.

Any ideas? I'd appreciate the help.

Thanks.
