What is Ubuntu One ?

Hello Linux Guys! In Ubuntu, I haven't understand something, Ubuntu One! :) Could someone tell me about Ubuntu One ? What is it? What could you with it? :confused:

It is free storage space for you to use, and share photos etc, etc, with others if you want to, or just use as backup space. I think you get 2 GB of free space and must pay for more.

Not something I would really want to use as a system backup resource, perticularly with upload speeds being so slow, but could be useful for sharing holiday photos or something similar with lots of people, if you give them the web address to see them.
