Hello folks
As some people know, I'm self-hosting myself and now I'm looking for an easy kit for a bulletin board/forum.

After comparing a lot of different kit, I'm now hesitating between these 2: phpBB and myBB.

Both have great features and seems easy to administrate.

But I don't know which one is the best or preferable.

Any suggestion ?

Thank you !

From my own experience MyBB is really good. The Admin CP is very nice.

I like the admin panel on phpBB IMO.

Agreed. Not to mention, there are generally more resources for phpBB. Of course, I have never actually used myBB. But I would definitely go with phpBB either way :)

Yes I guess there are more phpBB ressources than myBB because of a bigger communauty (More themes, plugins, support,...)
But myBB doesn't seems to be far behind...

Furthermore, I've heard about some security problem with phpBB...

Hmm..difficult choice...

I was looking into phpBB a week or so back. I think they've recently released a new version which addresses some of the security issues.
