If you're talking about one of those satellite tv through the internet things, those are all scams that don't really work.

you need anything specific?

There're tons, but if you describe what you want i might point out some

anyway from my experience, the quality is not very good. not many good channels

video sites are a much better experience for now

I have seen in google but some of them require payment and some are not working. some use software install.

I have use before webtvtube.com but few channels. if any of you have idea what site provides free online tv or show.

Hulu in the US has a lot of movies etc...
And it works well if you have a good PC and connection

Hulu for many free movies. Or get a Netflix subscription. They have many many movies to watch online for free.

HBO isn't free. If a website is offering it for free, its probably illegal unless its owned by some network.

local channels are free over the air (even HD ones.) Either get a TV or get a TV tuner card and hook it up to a TV antenna.

Do they have actual cable or broadcast channels that you can watch, like CBS or TBS? I couldn't figure out how to easily find something like that. I didn't sign up, though.

It's just whatever people decide to show. It gives anybody the ability to broadcast anything they want. I use it to watch certain sporting events. also you can try channelsurfing.net (http://channelsurfing.net/) and surfthechannel.com (http://www.surfthechannel.com/) They may be more what you'tr looking for. also sopcast (http://download.sopcast.cn/download/sp-auth.tgz) is great, and they have a linux version.
