Kinda mad. My Upscale DVD Recorder quit working. It never worked right to begin with. It was a Samsung. It would always skip my DVD's. But when I put them in my Sony PS2 to play them (with component cables), they worked fine. I also tried the DVD in another player with an HDMI cable, works fine. Just that player skips them.
I'm looking for a new one now. Any suggestions?
The one I've got my eyes on now is the Philips BDP5005 (ya, it's blu-ray).

if ur looking for a dvd player which upscales via hdmi or component then i'd suggest LG DV-388 or Philips DVP5986 or 5996 (the latter plays .wmv files)
but if ur looking for BD player, then i guess u could go for sony ones.

No, I'm not looking for blu-ray. I was just including that as a bonus, but not a must have. I do need upscaling though. Thanks.

PS3. Does a little more than you need it to (:P), but it's worth it (at least it is for me). Just my opinion though.

Anything by OPPO. They are a brilliant, but small DVD/Blu-Ray player maker. Check on Amazon for some of their older stuff if you want just a DVD upscaler player.
