I am running ubuntu 8.04 on a Fujitsu S6420 with internal HSDPA. Any idea how to activate HSDPA ?

If you don't find any options for it in the wireless settings, then I don't think you can enable it. It usually auto connects to the fastest available speeds (HSPA, EDGE or GPRS) on most devices.

If you go half-way down the page

http://www.pharscape.org/networkmanager-0.7.0-and-3g-wwan-modems.html

to

"Create a mobile broadband connection ..........."

and you need an account with a mobile phone company?

Thank you both. I was running 8.04 and after further research I could not find a way to enable. Eventually upgraded my os and managed to make it work in both 9.04 and 9.10

thanks; glad to hear it worked; if you just detail how you got it working, it might help others following in your track
