Those icons in /usr/share/icons/humanity/

There are literally hundreds if not thousands of icons there just wondering if i ccan use them for a personal site...i won't be uploading them to the net anytime soon since design has not even started yet let alone development...but yet there is a small possbility that i will upload it if it turns out well...

It is actually a site which collects all these icons and perhaps let people browse and download.....well at least this is the idea for my "dummy site" which i will make to learn more about php.

So is it copyrighted? can they be shared? Assuming download will be free.

Edit: Or could i even use ubuntu loading cursor (the circle animation) and use it as my website cursor if a page is load.

From /usr/share/doc/humanity-icon-theme/copyright:

The Humanity Icon Theme is licensed under the GPL v2.

Basically, you can use them on your website if:

-> You excplicitly say where they come from and give credit to the authors, and
-> You provide a copy of the icons to anyone who asks for it.

Also download needn't be free.
