I am running the beta version of Lucid. I love it especially the fact that Rhythmbox now has a store! I would like to buy music through UbuntuOne store. I have a complaint though, perhaps someone has a solution or can get fixed in a later version. I have a Nexus One that I also love. It works great with Ubuntu. But when I put files downloaded from the UbuntuOne Store they have no cover art. I can fix this by using PiCard and attaching it through the ID3 tag. But that is an extra step and I'm lazy. Especially when I can get the same files from AmazonMP3 and they transfer with the cover art. This might be something 7Digital needs to fix and not UbuntuOne. But if there is a setting I can change or something like that I would appreciate it. If not then Ubuntu getta talk'n to 7Digital 'bout dis. Perhaps it can be fixed sooner than later. This is only a beta after all.

cheers

We want good album art to be a part of the Ubuntu One Music Store experience. Whether or not the album art is embedded in the file is actually something that the music labels control. 7digital could probably do some monitoring of this and I will speak with them about it. My assumption is that this would probably only happen for some less popular or very old albums. I'm curious to know what you purchased that did not have album art. Thanks!

I bought Arctic Monkeys and Adelitas way. One is a newer band and the other is an indie rock group. So it might be they didn't included the album art embedded. Don't know. Like I said earlier I fixed this by using Picard. Thanks for talking with them about this. Hopefully 7Digital will do something about this soon.
