Blue Totem screen when playing dvd's & no sound

Hi,

When I trie to play DVD's in Ubuntu Studio in Totem everything looks blue and I don't have sound coming from my M-Audio Delta 1010 LT.Playing DVD's using VLC is normal.My graphics?:Nvidia GeForce 8500 GT,anyone any ideas?

I found the solution to the blue totem screen:Edit-Preferences-Color Balans still no sound playing dvd's though...

that is a pretty nifty soundcard you have there...

do you have sound working in ubuntu with it????

do you hear system sounds??

can you hear sound with web-pages(ie. youtube videos)??

have you tried other players (mplayer, vlc, xine, etc) it might just be a totem issue?

do you have the correct video codecs installed for your video? (ie do you have the gstreamer plugins (the good, the bad and the ugly--yes these are the actual names)?????
