Virtual boxing isn't really good for gaming, your best bet would be alternates like Wine or Crossover (outside of native support).

Virtualbox is fine for "lighter" games, but if you want hardware acceleration, it won't do you any good. I tried it for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004, and the game was playable, albeit not so good looking.
