I wanting to know what hardware works in ubuntu 9.10 wo/ a lot of hassle(if its possible) What emulators you guys are using to play these games.

NES - Nestopia or GFCEU if you can't get nestopia working.
SNES - BSNES, if system can't handle BSNES use either snes9x or zsnes either one is good.
N64 - Mupen64plus.
I use joypads as I haven't found any reliable source for good quality windows/linux supported adapters.

I prefer Logitech Dual Action's, but others here have complained about them so YMMV. Really, any that uses a standard USB HID driver should work, and I've never used any sort of program to calibrate or configure my joypads, in windows or linux (and yes jscalibrator has been known to mess up already working joypads). I really don't see the need :/

For Nintendo 64 I use Project 64.
For SNES I use SNES9X.
For Not sure about NES, but I have JNES in my emulators folder.

Anybody had any luck with the wiimote/classic controller through bluetooth? I have a wiimote and can get a bluetooth adapter for cheap? Thanks. Again for all the help.
