One of my major complaints about 9.10 was the terrible splash screen as it started up (yes, I know I know, I can change it). Changing it is not the point, looking professional is and it does not. The spotlight was the worst.

Now that we have that behind us, 10.04 looks professional. I'm not a big fan of purple, but who cares. As the OS comes up on install, it looks like a group of paid professionals did the work on it.

It's definitely a Beta, but so far it looks and feels good. Thanks.

Since this is a positive thread I have something to add! After acutally giving it a chance , I love Empathy IM , I've used Pidgin since it's inception but Empathy is choice and if it wasn't added as default I wouldn't have tried it because I was so accustomed to Pidgin , Good call.

Cheers.

Also enjoying Lucid 64 as we speak.
Empathy has a new Ubuntu theme (with call outs), MS document icons are new and colorful, themes are great and a lot more.
As far as style - 10.04 is a home run.
