what happened to my Task Bar area?

hello,

for a while now i have been wondering where my "task bar" went to. here's what's up....


alright, so i open an app, lets say firefox. then i open another app, lets say calculator. if i minimise one app, in the lower bar, the tabs for the apps do not display. i am being forced to toggle between all apps with alt+tab, which is frustrating.

i have done a system update and it still didn't bring it back. i don't want to redo my installation again, so how can i fix this?

note that i don't know if it's called the taskbar or what in Ubu, i am just talking about the lower bar, where app tabs are normally displayed. the bar is there, but the app tabs aren't.

i hope someone can help ASAP on this. it's been like this for months now.

Left click the panel
Select +Add to Panel
Scroll down to Window List and install it.

First, right click on the taskbar and select Properties from the right click menu. ... The same thing happened to me! And the touch bar at the top of ... check box and get the volume mixer back on my notification area
