I got Real Life a long time ago. I can certainly recommend it.

Pros:
Really easy to install (if hardware and software are compatible)
Incredible graphics
Linux compatible

Cons:
It is really hard to quit, there are no real alternatives.
Character generation is somewhat random, it is virtually impossible to change.
My character moves real slow and does not respond to inputs at all when starting a new day.
Can't find the "get a wellpaid job"-button.

You know how all the game designers are now going absolutely insane over bloom effects? Well... No longer is blurry, foggy vision only the realm of game developers with no grasp of what the real world looks like. To get a bloom effect in Real Life, simply go buy some contact lenses (the kind you remove daily, no overnight lenses) and then sleep with them in. When you wake up, you'll have quite a nice bloom effect going on. It's like getting a graphics card upgrade for your head! \\:D/

I recon, while playing this game the other day I tried to pvp, when I hit the guy with my battle axe rather then getting 50 points I was kicked from the server. Thats so dumb.

Well, the thing about this game is, that you don't even have to turn the computer off, though that can massively enhance the gaming experience! :)

There is a feature in the game in which you join a party with the opposite gender -- its called "marriage" and all of your experience points will be shared.
I don't recommend doing this unless you're sure about it. If your partner leaves you, you lose half your gold!

Playing longer than a few hours can really get tedious.

If you have to play this awful excuse of a reality then please look out of the window most of the time and make sure you keep telling yourself that the guy who just took your wife/job/dog/car/happiness is just another more experienced user, instead of a noob who got lucky.

Me I like my cave, it has snails and not much else, but hey! its safe and I call it home!

Quite possibly the worst MMO iv ever played. First off... its not free. Secondly... pvp is non existent. Iv tried and gotten suspension on my account and a huge loss of gold. You can try it but i definatly dont recomend it. Although you do get a huge xp reward in the end the loss doesnt seem worth it. The career path of the game also sucks. You have two options, pay for a great paying career and after about lvl 40 or so it starts to even out and you can become quite wealthy, or opt out and take a normal career and lose most of your weekly earnings to expenses. You of course could go without shelter or transportation to cut those expenses but its not likely that you will keep your career. Either way you take be prepared for a mundane career experience.
Gathering wealth takes up almost 50% of your daily game play, and the devs created it so you cant play more than one days worth in 24 hrs with really sucks. I cant find any bots to simulate the work experience for me. There is a career path that is free (you dont have to pay for the "education upgrade") and is quite easy and dosent cost you hardly any of your daily game play. You simply buy and sell illegal products to other members so they can enhance their game play. The problem is if the mods find out your account gets a huge suspension. Also there are mods disguised as players, and some player accounts, that will turn you in immediatly for suspension. The game is what you make it. If you want a real in depth account you can simply make decisions to have it that way. The learning curve is slow, lvling takes forever, you get greater xp with higher lvls. All in all, your better off running a dual boot system and playing something like The Gates of Anderon or WOW than trying to play Real Life.
