Sendmail: Accepting mail

Can someone help me out with getting sendmail to accept mail from my internal network?

A link to a guide would also be great.
Or a suggestion on what I should search for.

Sendmail is a bit archaic these days. Most distributions (Ubuntu included) default now to using Postfix.

Orders of magnitude simpler, and is a sendmail drop-in replacement, so other apps don't know or care.
