I installed 10.4 on my Acer 5570Z notebook last night.
Each individual section of the interface is vertically mirrored, but only visually.
For instance if I click on "Applications" the menu pops up where expected, but the items are listed in the opposite order, with the text vertically mirrored. However, to click on an item, I have to click where it should be, not where it is displayed.
Navigating by keys makes this process much easier since it will highlight the appropriate area.
If I take a screen shot, the screen shot looks correct. I took a photo and attached it.
If I boot into failsafe mode everything seems to display properly.
