Hello,

I just installed alpha 3 of Ubuntu lycid (10.4). I thinks it works pretty well already. I want to use it already, as Ubuntu 9.10 isn't capable to use standby on my laptop. It works great now.

One problem I have: I installed flash 10.1 by copying it to ~/.mozilla/plugins. But firefox doesn't recognize it. And I can't install flash 10.0 either.

Bye

Did the plugins folder exist or did you create it to move the plugin in to it ?

If you created it, try renaming the folder plugin, without the "s"

Or you could try moving it to /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins with a terminal.

sudo mv ~/.mozilla/plugins/name of file /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins

Substitute "name of file" with the actual file name.

First of all, it's 10.04, not 10.4.

Second, it's in test mode, not released yet.

So, please post your 10.04 questions to the correct forum .. the Development forum, Lucid Testing subforum.

honestly, I really don't see a diff...new boot/shutdown splashes, window controls on wrong side by default, and the use of thunderbird rather than evolution...a few more "social media controls on the top panel, but I dont use them anyway.

All in all...i am still waiting for a new kernel to read my overclock!!!!!
