Hi there.

I have a sony sdm-hs73 lcd monitor with a native resolution of 1280x1024. However, when i installed ubuntu ppc version on my mirror door g4, the highest the resolution will go is 1024 x 768, which results in everything looking a little bit blurry. Is there something I have to do special for the graphics card? Are there extra drivers? I checked the xf86 config file and it recognizes my monitor as sdm-hs73, but other than that, I really don't know what to do. If anyone has had this problem and can help, i would really appreciate it. thanks!

Jim

Again,

Double posting is not a good idea. Keeping your questions about the same topic in the same thread makes it easier to follow.

You probably need to install your video driver. Search for a thread depending on whether it's an ATI or nvidia card. There are some excellent Howtos on this forum.

Good Luck

Sye,

yeah, my fault on the double posting, i thought the initial on you replied to would be in the wrong fourm. anyhow, i ended up editing the file you were first talking about and basically forcing the display to the desired resolution. thanks!

Glad to hear that editing the resolutions was all it took. :-)
