I have been looking at my options for setting up a MythTV backend running on Ubuntu and I am curious if anyone has any experience with using multiple USB capture devices on a single backend.
I have a powerful laptop that I got for free and I am tempted to use it as my MythTV backend as long as USB will perform adequately with 2 (possibly 3 in the future) HD capture devices. It would be cool to have a relatively power-frugal backend.
Does anyone think this will perform adequately?
Laptop Specs
Toshiba U508 (I think)
Core 2 Duo running over 2Ghz
2 GB Ram
HD storage will be accessed over the LAN
