I just installed ubuntu 9.10 because i wanted to try something new (not microsoft). The very first thing that I tried was to use my vodaphone mobile connect (k3520) dongle. All i get is a message telling me that it is 'unable to mount' Ok, so i try my girlfriends Orange E1752 and that does nothing at all. Stupidy, I thought that by going back onto Vista to check the net for help I'd be able to sort it out. Wrong! Not only does it appear that this problem has been known about for ages ,but nearly all the advice on how to fix it is utterly incomprehensible to a newcomer. Im sorry if this sounds like a rant, but it's a bloody awful way to start with a new system. Can anybody help in langauge a newb could understand?
