I have an older Dell ddesktop with a wifi max that I orginally bought formy ds, but also works with everything else.

I was wondering, how would ubuntu server edition handle this, for my semi-idiotic brother is a virus magnet and it has XP.

Does anyone know how well this would work?

No I was talking about this:http://www.amazon.com/DATEL-WIFI-MAX-WII-DSLITE-NINTENDO/dp/B000OQ8GWO

I was wondering if there were drivers for it, and if they would work under ubuntu server edition.

Try running the Desktop Live CD and see if the WiFi Max works. At least run

lsusb

To see if it is recognised and what chip it has.

If it works with the desktop Live CD, you should be able to get it working with server edition.

I can't try right now, for I need the wifi for my laptop, and I can't have it down.

Also, I was only wondering at the concept, probably not going to try...
