Got Sibelius 6 and Sibelius Essentials Sounds installed today along with Ubuntu 9.10 64bit, Sibelius installed and works great. I installed virtualbox (using synaptic package manager), then installed Windows XP as a virtual machine). Then Sibelius (music composition software for Windows) installed great.

One WARNING-- Sibelius thinks you have installed it onto a new machine, adding "1" to your license limit (2 machines). I emailed Sibelius support today to complain about this, and asked for a solution. I am NOT installing it on more than two machines, just my desktop and laptop, but four copies of Sibelius, one one each of the four (2x2) partitions (win and linux on each "machine"). Their EULA licence says you can only install it on two machines, and use only one machine at a time; I am not violating that legal mumbo jumbo, so I will be calling my state Attorney General if this is not resolved. I paid to put Sibelius on two machines!
