Hi
I am using UBUNTU Karmic and I'd like to have 2 background photos for the 2 workspaces I have, is it possible? If yes How?
I am using ubuntu only for a week so please explain completely, thanks :)

Some time ago I had checked and that provision was only for KDE. It was not available in Gnome, I think mostly you will be using gnome so hard luck. However, if you come to know the way to get different background in Gnome, I would love to know

Yeah, I think it's about time gnome supports it as does KDE.
You can do it through compiz, but then you have to sacrifice the desktop icons, which is unacceptable for me.

Perhaps Lucid with a new gnome/nautilus version will finally support it? It shouldn't be too hard to implement I assume?
