KpackageKit no longer allows me to install packages and make updates. It complains that I don't have the proper permissions. Opening it with kdesudo works fine and so does apt-get from terminal, so I guess it's just a permission that got switched somehow. Anyway to easily switch it back to the normal behavior? Distro is Kubuntu Karmic 64bit.

Same problem here. After update to KDE SC 4.4.1, KPackageKit ask no more for a password, but IŽam sure that it will be resolved quickly.

Hopefully:P

Have a similar problem. Kpackagekit asks for my password(on "ok" or "apply") but doesn't accept the password as mine. Same one I log in with, works with sudo and kdesudo(kdesudo also works with Kpackagekit).

On a possibly related note, password doesn't work with Keyring, but it works with KDE wallet. Might have some relation.

sorry to ask, but did you try both passwords with the package manager?

(like to get those things sorted out first ;) )
