My fiancée was just given a Lexmark Z708 printer from a friend but i cannot find any drivers for it anywhere. Does anyone use one of these with their ubuntu 9.10, if so how did you get it working?

Many thanks for all the help given in these forums,
Peace

I don't think so. I had one of these and just gave up on it with ubuntu because of the driver issue. I searched high and low and they were no where to be found. I've seen some talk on here lately of maybe trying to print through a virtual machine for lexmark printers, might be worth looking into. Went out and bought and HP that I absolutely love so it ended up being a win-win situation for me. Best of luck!

Choose the lexmark Z51 driver from the drop-down list in the applet. It should work just fine. I have one of those printers and ISTR it was an EU re-badge of the US Z51. Even if it wasn't I got mine working under linux (may have been RedHat or SuSE) at the time the printer was still on sale. FWIW it was on the PCPro A-list for monochrome print quality.
