I have used the calculator in the programing mode for converting hex to binary and was working fine in 9.10 version gcalctool 5.28.2. Now in Lucid we have version 5.29.91 and it does not seem to work the same. I tried to file a bug and was told it was invalid.

Could someone please open the calculator set it for programming and see how it works for you.

I was told that the new gcalctool you must explicitly add the base. You can do this by pressing the x_16 button in programming mode to enter FF in hexadecimal: FF₁₆ When I do this the bit display get greyed out which is what I as using the calc for.

If you find this not working please report this bug.

It seems fairly useless to me. It worked perfectly okay before, so why change it?
Change for changes sake!
