Hi.

What is the best webhost for unlimited storage, transfer, domain, and email all included? The cheaper the better.

Thanks!

000webhost is good. Doesn't cost much. Here it is: http://www.000webhost.com/

Get a dsl connection, a dns provider and run ubuntu server on an old box you have lying around.

I second 000webhost. It's cheap, and their free option is fantastic too.

Yeah, you should setup your own server using an old box. Here is a guide that I used.

one thing to think about before you go and set up your own webserver is, does your ISP permit you to host a webserver? Many ISP's don't allow such activity so best check before hand so you don't have your service suspended.

Can't you just forward 8080 and not 80?

possible but it will depend on if the ISP has a good admin at the desk as to if they will simply look for incoming traffic on just port 80 or on all common ports. ie. 21, 25, 80, 110, 8080, etc. It's usually better to find out if it's allowed first then to try and plead ignorance after your service is disconnected :)

Yeah, I don't think it is a great admin. It is allowed probably, since it doesn't say anything on their website.

it may or may not say on the website unless you dig into the actual terms of service agreement. I also can't find anything online about my ISP either but it is in their TOS agreement.
