I've seen around that you can have postfix, dovecot use a rdbms as a backend for authentication but I'd like to have it also used to store the mail messages. Does anyone have any resources I can look at in regards to this. I understand the performance draw backs of a setup like this, but the ability to quickly scale a mail system, full-text searches, and what I think would be better integrety then a filebased system would be worth it. I know there are systems like dbmail out there but I would like to be able to setup this myself even if it means having to create my out driver postfix would use to do this.
