Hi,
I am a migrant from Mandriva Linux 2010.1 (gnome) to Ubuntu 9.10.
My question is regarding GRUB - I know the graphical GRUB in mandriva is much pleasing than the non-graphical default one in Ubuntu.
But my question is, when I used Mandriva, while system boots up - after BIOS check, I would immediately get the GRUB boot screen. Whereas in Ubuntu, it takes about 3 to 5 seconds to display the GRUB boot menu after BIOS checks are done..
Any idea..?
Also, would appreciate, if someone could point me to make the Ubuntu GRUB boot menu as pretty as I am used to when using Mandriva... remember, I am a novice use and step-by-step instructions/procedures are much appreciated.
Thanks.
