Hi. So i was trying to edit my yaboot.conf file so that it would automatically boot into ubuntu as i rarely use os x. However i have clearly done something really wrong as now, on boot, my computer flashes up the os x symbol of a folder with a ?, but then (thankfully) boots promptly into os x.

I would really like to be able to get back into ubuntu as all my work is there.

I tried reinstalling yaboot in rescue mode and even tried uninstalling and reinstalling yaboot in a shell and then running "mkofboot -n" to write the (presumably) freshly installed yaboot.conf file over to the boot partition.

But no joy.

Any ideas as to how i might be able to force my way back into ubuntu to make the necessary changes or restore or edit the yaboot.conf file from a shel (layman's terms please)l????

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers.
