Could one use virtualbox to run Vista Ultimate and play Battlefield 2 on a computer with 2 GB of memory?
Thank you.

2 Gigs is vista's recommended amount of memory to use, So your machine might be slow. How much memory does Ubuntu take up on your machine?

I am sorry, I do not know how much memory Karmic runs - I haven't tried to install it yet.
I think Karmic wouldn't need 512 KB

Hello
I am running Compiz (fancy graphics) Firefox, Pidgen (IM Client), and Other small programs and it uses about 350 MB of memory. Vista takes up about 800 MB so that is 1150 MB plus your game I will guess will take up 250 MB so in total: 1400 MB or 1.4 GB with some left over.
Please correct me if I am wrong about the memory your game takes up.

From what I have been reading, it seems that VirtualBox and other such applications do not do well at running 3-D things, like computer games.
I think the game would not run under Virtual Box, unfortunately.
