I might be wrong but I remember it being $40. Im not sure how long ago but I remember reading something about this on the "donate page".

Well, I look at that "forum donor" under your name as a reward for uh, donating money. It tells people "yes, I am a better person then you are because I donated".

BTW I donated 10 bucks.

It's a global announcement and is not something that is turned off on a per user/usergroup basis. Sorry it's an inconvience for you.
