View Full Version : [ubuntu] Set size of Samba share: Is it possible?

I have few a few shares setup on my ubuntu box, 2 of which are used for my 2 windows machines to connect and backup their files.

Without setting size limits on the shares, these windows machines will eventually use all available disk space as they make further backups. This is a problem as all the shares currently use the same pool of storage and if it is all used up, it will make the other shares essentially useless as no one will be able to write to them.

How can I define a size limit for each share? I have searched here and googled aplenty but I can not seem to find any mention of defining a size limit for a share.

Thanks,
