Hello, I am about to install Breezy and I would like to know where I get the driver for an nVidia 6800. Would it be through synaptic or someplace else? Thanks in advance.

Be sure to investigate Automatix too!

It will give you about 40 choices of top quality, very popular software. After making your choices, it will go about the task, (takes about 2 hours on my machine @ 512k broadband for my choices) of downloading & installing your choices! One of these is the nVidia closed source drivers.
Automatix has worked for me multiple times on both 64bit & 32bit Breezy 5.10.
I can't recomend it highly enough to the Ubuntu (linux) beginner. You get results, ease the stress, & give yourself room to be able to get into the depths of the OS, at your leisure!

I agree with handy. Automatix is usually the best way to go
