ET wont change screen resolution back after game closes

I can't get Enemy Territory to switch back to my default screen size after the game closes. Everything works perfectly until I exit the game, but once I exit I have to switch the resolution back to where I had it manually (which incidentally is still selected in the resolution menu: I have to select something else and then switch back).
