Hey guys I was wondering if any of you guys could give me some advice, I just got Ubuntu 9.10 on my laptop just a few days ago and it's my first experience with any linux operating systems and i must say that so far i love it. I installed Ubuntu so that it's is dual-operating with windows vista for the moment but there are still programs on vista that i would still like to used on vista such as itunes and skype which for some reason i cannot get to work properly on ubuntu and it's a bit of a hassal to have to have to log out and go back into vista just to use these programs. I have tried other alternatives to itunes (banshee) and i like it however i still would rather run itunes normally. I also have the ubuntu version of skype install but when i use it it gives a loud feedback to the other side...

so anyway what i was trying to get at is that i found out about virtual box today and i wanted to hear your input on it and if it would be a good idea to use virtual box for these two programs? :D Any input would be appreciated, i really love ubuntu and i just want to get the most out of it and i would really like to just completely run ubuntu with all the programs that i need without dual operating/

If you have about 15 Gb on your Ubuntu partition and a windows install disk just try it. With Virtual Box it is very easy. I set up and install Linux distros in about an hour. That way you can see for yourself how well it works.
I would recomend that you download from the Sun site and download their manual. I have no experience with windows but everyone says it works well for everything but some games.
