Hello everybody,
i've a question regarding linux's font. The only thing i like of windows XP is the standard font it comes with. Is it possible to have them under Ubuntu, is there some particular engine? To make you understand what kind of font i'm talking about i'll attach a screenshot talen from kdevelop site (http://www.kdevelop.org/) (they are using KDE instead of GNOME but i don't think this affect in some way what i would like to have).

The font i would like to obtain is the one on the windows.... (File, Edit etc...,everything but not the code)

Thanks in advance,
MC

Check out this link.

It explains how to customize and/or add fonts to your system. I was specifically looking for the ability to change fonts that are not themed via gtk2, but gtk1. It gave me the basis for what I needed.

It seems that others have been looking for the ability to change the system default font for X11 apps, that are not necessarily GTK compliant.

Hi tanari,
very nice screenshot! What kind of theme are you using? And another thing: how is it possible to change the icon left of the Application bar to the one you have (ubuntu symbol :D ).

Thanks alot,
MC
