Hi,

I have a peculiar issue.

From time to time I get a double guake icon on the top panel which replaces my network manager icon, ie. I have two guake icons.

This is a small issue, but still a bit annoying so I would like to rectify it, ie. remove the additional icon.

But the last time I did that, just after a fresh install of Karmic, my desktop environment (GNOME) completely crashed! The panel started blinking, and I was unable to make any inputs. After that I couldn't log in either, so I reinstalled Karmic.

Still, the problem persists, and I would like to:

1) Remove the double icon without rendering my computer useless
2) Figure out why the hell it causes a crash?!

Anyone else with this strange problem?

I should note that I'm running compiz and emerald, with two separate x screens on a Nvidia 9800GTX.
