I installed ET successfully (I think) I got it to run, managed to get the sound to work, but a funny thing happened: after closing ET my screen resolution wouldn't return to normal. I was fixing the sound, turning it on and off, and each time I quit I had to fix the screen resolution. The last time, before I managed to fix the resolution I scrolled a bit vertically and the part in the top panel that said 'Applications Places System' moved toward the right to flank the volume control and date box.
I logged out of gnome to try to fix it, but logging back in I got a message that said I had been logged into gnome for less than 10 seconds and there was an error.
The funny part is, I can still log into my other account, just not the one I installed ET on. What do I do? I'm a relatively new ubutuntu/linux user. (3 days).
I cannot log into my main account (the one installed ET on) in the safe mode session.
Thanks!
