OK, I set up GDM to start a WINE game directly from the login manager (without loading a window manager).
The idea was to run it as a seperate session (ctrl+alt+F8) to prevent the game from taking down the entire session should it ever crash, and to prevent popup messages from GAIM from crashing the game.
However! I find that I cannot switch the sessions gracefully. If I am in the game session and I switch back to my GNOME session it will ask me for my password, but if I switch back to the game session then all I get is a screen full of text that doesn't allow me to do anything.
Is there any way around this?
