I tried to download and burn Ubuntu Alternate CD a couple of times. I tried different versions, tried torrent and any burning tools possible. Everything goes smoothly, until I tried to boot my pc. I always encounter error about a corrupted file or something.

Can I borrow a working alternate CD from any of you guys? Anyone from makati or cavite area or somewhere near, please please... I prefer 9.04 version, but any other will do... Thanks in advance...

I have the same problem. What I did was I downloaded the mini installer (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/MinimalCD), then installed everything from that (it will need internet connection as it will download everything from the net.
Good thing is, after installation, everything is already updated.

have you check the md5sum (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM) and compare the hashes (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuHashes)

I have 2 CDROM actually. Neither gave good result. I also tried here in the office...ala pa din. Pag typical Ubuntu CD gumagana naman sya. Ayaw lang talaga pag Alternate CD. I badly need the Alternate CD kasi for LTSP...
