Probably been asked before, but the posts get very involved after 12+ or more responses........

Current:

Time warner cable(standard..coax goes from outside to inside the house,no set top box)

Backend has 1 PVR-150 card in it

Tv works fine...

----------------

Goal:

To be able to view for example channel 3, the HD version like you would see if you hooked a hdtv straight into the coax(3-1,3-2, etc)

I want this tuner to be my primary and the pvr-150 to be the second tuner

---------------

I need to use a PCI card in the backend

What card would be the right card to get?

So you're looking for an HDTV card?
the best option that you are looking for is this, the HD-5500 (http://www.pchdtv.com/)

I would get this, the HDhomeRun (http://www.silicondust.com/products/hdhomerun_atsc) which I think would be better as it runs off your network and doesn't waste space inside the machine, and can be used with any PC as you like. And it works great with MythTV and has two tuners.

I will also recommend the hdhomerun. It is a great device, and no drivers to worry about.
