Hello,

I have the infamous via S3 unichrome pro IGP chipset in my Fujitsu-siemens laptop and have been struggling with the display.

The screen size is set too large. When I select the appropriate screen size (1280 x 800) the screen gets garbled. Also, the monitor is 'Unknown' and the refresh rate dropdown box only lists 'OHz'.

Via have released a driver for Ubuntu 9.04, so my newbie questions are:

1) Will this driver work in 9.10?
2) Am I correct in assuming the propriety linux driver will work better than the 'openchrome' driver developed by the independent openchrome project?
3) How does one install this driver? As mentioned, I am a complete newbie not even able to bring up the command line.

Many thanks!
